PLANET’S CALENDAR OF EVENTS

HERNDON, Va., August 1, 2006 — The Professional Landcare Network (PLANET) ensures that the green industry will flourish by cultivating the personal, professional, and business growth of those who enhance the world’s landscapes. PLANET fulfills its mission by providing top-notch educational opportunities at events that are scheduled throughout the year. PLANET invites all green industry professionals to take part in the following events and to benefit from the training, networking, and resources that are essential to growing their businesses.

Specialty Symposium
August 4–6, 2006
Hyatt Regency Milwaukee, Milwaukee, WI
The Specialty Symposium is designed as an educational opportunity for both owners and managers to take an in-depth look at specific aspects of running a green industry business. This year’s symposium offers four separate tracks (lawn care, design/build/installation, interior plantscaping, and landscape management) that will cover the most critical topics and issues facing each industry specialty group. Green industry professionals will lead the presentations and discussions, sharing their experiences and approaches to facing the changing business climate.

Summer Leadership Meeting
August 16–20, 2006

Members of the PLANET leadership will gather to plan, strategize, network, and set the future course for the organization at this annual event.

Monopolize Your Marketplace
September 22–23, 2006
Embassy Suites BWI, Linthicum, MD
This two-day, interactive learning workshop is designed to help green industry owners, managers, and employees learn how to develop a sales and marketing plan, budget, and resource guide to generate ongoing revenues and profits. Led by Judith M. Guido, principal of Guido & Associates and a national business trainer, speaker, and business planner, this event will explore ways to create and retain profits, market leadership, and develop a sustainable growth marketing and sales plan. Bring your marketing and sales questions and leave the workshop with the knowledge to bring your company high-yielding profits for years to come.

Green Industry Conference
November 1–4, 2006
