Contact: Marcia Higgins For Immediate Release PLANET ANNOUNCES SUCCESSFUL CERTIFICATION CANDIDATES Herndon, VA, September 1, 2005 — An important part of the mission of the Professional Landcare Network (PLANET) is to promote the professional advancement of its members. One means to achieve that goal is through a certification program that tests individuals against a national standard. Certified Landscape Professional (CLP) — To achieve the CLP designation, a candidate must master all aspects of running a landscape business. The four-hour exam is divided into seven sections: Corporate Financial Management; Production Operations and Horticulture; Human Resources; Leadership and Corporate Citizenship; Marketing and Sales Management; Risk, Law, and Contracts; and Strategic Planning.
