PLANET ANNOUNCES SUCCESSFUL CERTIFICATION CANDIDATES

Herndon, VA, October 3, 2005 — An important part of the mission of the Professional Landcare Network (PLANET) is to promote the professional advancement of its members. One means to achieve that goal is through a certification program that tests individuals against a national standard.

Certified Landscape Technician-Exterior (CLT-Exterior) — The CLT-Exterior exam is a daylong event that tests the candidate’s ability to properly use equipment, demonstrate an understanding of handling plants and related materials, and pass written general comprehension tests under the pressure of strict time frames. The candidate selects a specialty area (Maintenance, Installation, or Irrigation) and is judged on the skills and knowledge needed to perform tasks in that specialty.

State associations are licensed by the Professional Landcare Network to administer the test. PLANET congratulates the following newly certified exterior landscape technicians.
