These valuable educational sessions include: - OSHA 10-Hour Course (ticketed event). Presented by CNA from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Wednesday, November 2, and Thursday, November 3, this course provides a good basis for workers and supervisors to learn more about the identification of serious hazards as well as the “basics” of compliance with OSHA standards.
- Safety Programs That Work. A panel of experienced safety managers will discuss innovative safety ideas on Thursday, November 3, 4:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Panelists are Laurie Bishop, The Bruce Company of Wisconsin; Gary Clayton, CTP, Community Lawn Care; John Rovedo, American Civil Constructors; and Jerry Schumacher, Vande Hey Company. The facilitator will be PLANET Safety Specialist Barb Mulhern.
- Utilizing the OSHA Consultation Service to Reduce Workplace Hazards. This panel discussion will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m., Saturday, November 5. Panelists include Keith Brown, Florida State OSHA Consultation Service; Elias Godinez, Pacific Landscape Management; Kurt Kluznik, CCLP, Yardmaster, Inc.; and Lou Kobus, CLP, Village Turf. PLANET Safety Specialist Barb Mulhern will facilitate the discussion.
