PLANET’S CALENDAR OF EVENTS

Herndon, VA, November 1, 2005 — The Professional Landcare Network (PLANET) ensures that the green industry will flourish by cultivating the personal, professional, and business growth of those who enhance the world’s landscapes. PLANET fulfills its mission by providing top-notch educational opportunities at events that are scheduled throughout the year. PLANET invites all green industry professionals to take part in the following events and to benefit from the training, networking, and resources that are essential to growing their businesses.

Executive Forum
February 2–5, 2006
Hyatt Regency Lake Las Vegas, Henderson, Nevada

Executive Forum offers PLANET members an event that is a true combination of business and pleasure. The three-day meeting includes morning educational sessions, discussion groups, and networking opportunities, as well as time for golf, sightseeing, shopping, and entertainment. Student Career Days

Celebrate 30 years of successful Student Career Days (SCD) by joining PLANET at Brigham Young University to reach out to the future leaders of the green industry. PLANET’s Student Career Days (SCD) offers future green industry employees the opportunity to network with potential employers and provides a forum for businesses to recruit tomorrow’s talent. This event includes an exciting kick-off event at Utah Olympic Park, a campus tour, competitive student events, a career fair, and a keynote presentation from Stephen R. Covey, famed author of The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People. Since 1977, SCD has grown to become the largest recruitment event in the industry, offering both recruiters and students a prime opportunity to further their future success.

Legislative Day on the Hill and Renewal & Remembrance at Arlington National Cemetery
July 23–25, 2006
Holiday Inn on the Hill, Washington, D.C.

Legislative Day on the Hill provides landscape and lawn care professionals with an opportunity to unite and take a stand on Capitol Hill by discussing vital industry issues with legislators. The day before the Hill visits, attendees are invited to volunteer their skills and/or equipment for the “Renewal & Remembrance” project, a national community service effort to beautify Arlington National Cemetery and Congressional Cemetery.

Green Industry Conference
