PLANET ANNOUNCES STATE ASSOCIATION PARTNER AWARDS

Herndon, VA, November 15, 2005 — The Professional Landcare Network (PLANET) has announced its State Association Partner of the Year Awards. The awards were presented at the recent Green Industry Conference awards banquet in Orlando, Florida.

Virginia Nursery and Landscape Association, Inc., received the 2005 Association Partner of the Year Award. The award honors a PLANET member state/regional association for its contributions to the green industry within its own state or region and nationally as a member of PLANET. Virginia Nursery and Landscape Association, Inc., has served as a watchdog for local, state, and national regulatory and legislative issues that impact industry members and has established a clearinghouse for information about the association, industry issues, and industry practices.

Sandy Munley, Executive Director of the Ohio Landscape Association, received the 2005 Association Executive Partner of the Year Award. The award honors an individual PLANET member state/regional association executive for his or her contributions to the green industry within his/her own state or region and nationally as a member of PLANET. Munley created and runs the Ohio Certified Landscape Technician program, has served as a liaison between PLANET and its state associations, and is known for her ability to mentor staff and members in their leadership roles.
