CAREER FAIR IS A HIGHLIGHT OF STUDENT CAREER DAYS

Herndon, VA, December 1, 2005 — Each year, the Career Fair, held in conjunction with the Professional Landcare Network’s (PLANET) Student Career Days, is a popular highlight of the event for both students and landscape contracting companies alike. Booth space is going fast, and companies looking for potential employees and interns will want to reserve a prime location now for PLANET’s upcoming 30th annual Student Career Days event at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah, March 23–26, 2005.

Touted as the “largest gathering of potential qualified recruits,” Student Career Days draws more than 900 students enrolled in landscape contracting and horticultural programs at two-year and four-year colleges and universities across the nation to take part in its 26 competitive events, network, and interview for internships and prospective jobs. This three-day event is the best chance for landscape company managers to see the students in action and to talk to them about future career opportunities.       

The early-bird registration deadline is February 7, 2006, and entitles booth purchasers to discounted registration fees; 119 booths are available. Booths for the Career Fair may be purchased for a separate fee from the regular Student Career Days registration cost. Reserving booth space allows landscape-contracting company representatives to display information about their companies and the services they provide as well as to conduct face-to-face interviews with the best and brightest students coming out of landscape programs across the United States. Companies looking to hire that special new employee are sure to find that person at Student Career Days.
