Certified Landscape Professional
The CLP Exam is a 4-hour multiple choice format test covering business management topics.
Who should take the CLP exam?
Interior and exterior landscape company owners and managers who want to establish themselves (and their company) as a leader in the industry.
Certified Landscape Technician - Interior
The CLT-Interior exam is a 4- hour multiple choice format test covering topics related to the job performance of the Interior Technician.

Who should take the CLT - Interior exam?
Any interior technician who wants to demonstrate a mastery of a body of knowledge recognized as the international standard.
Certified Landscape Technician - Exterior
The CLT- Exterior exam is a hands-on field test. Candidates choose to test in Installation, Maintenance or Irrigation. The CLT Exterior exam is available in many U.S. states and four Canadian provinces.

Who should take the CLT - Exterior exam?
Any exterior technician who wants to establish credentials by meeting international standards for safe and effective operation of machinery and demonstrating a thorough understanding of all facets of the position. For the best chance of success, it is recommended that candidates have:

  • 4,000 hours of work in the landscape industry, or
  • 2,000 hours in the landscape industry, plus the completion of a 2 or 4 year curriculum in a landscape major, or
  • 1,000 hours in the landscape industry, plus the completion of a 2 or 4 year curriculum in a landscape major that included completing an internship in the field.
Certified Ornamental Landscape Professional
This course emphasizes tree and shrub maintenance procedures. Candidates concentrate on landscape trees and ornamental woody plant physiology, health care management, and establishment. The course has learning materials on soil basics, insect and disease identification, troubleshooting physiological or cultural problems, and pesticide safety.

Who should take the COLP exam?
Industry members who want to expand their knowledge in these specific areas. The study material is beautifully illustrated in full color and will serve as an invaluable reference text.
Certified Turfgrass Professional
This program is a comprehensive study of both warm and cool-season turfgrasses and was developed by the University of Georgia Center for Continuing Education. The study leads to a mastery of weed, insect and disease identification/control, as well as diagnosis of common turfgrass problems. The material supports Integrated Pest Management concepts, pesticide safety and customer relations.

Turfgrass employees who want to be fully versed in the best practices to establish and maintain beautiful lawns in the United States.

This study material covers the essential knowledge needed by an effective turfgrass manager in northern growing zones. The study leads to a mastery of weed, insect and disease identification/control, as well as diagnosis of common turfgrass problems.
