Pesticide Safety The Course Author Robert E. Partyka, Ph.D. is veteran plant pathologist and consultant on the diseases of plant material. He received a B.S. in Agronomy from the University of Rhode Island and a Ph.D. in Plant Pathology from Cornell University. He joined The Ohio State University Department of Plant Pathology in 1957 as Extension Plant Pathologist in vegetable crops with a gradual movement to urban horticulture and turf. In 1974, he joined ChemLawn Services Corporation in charge of their diagnostic lab and training programs. In 1979, he assumed the responsibility of technical programs for the tree and shrub division of ChemLawn. In 1991, he left ChemLawn for private practice as a consultant in the turf and ornamentals area. His company is Plants & Me located in Dublin, Ohio. Candidates may take the tests at a date on the PLANET written test schedule or register for a exam at a local LaserGrade Test Center and take the test in a computer-based format.
