PLANET has created the Sustainable Company Award to recognize and herald those businesses that strive to protect and conserve resources, reduce waste, and prevent pollution, and that promote an ethic of environmental sustainability and improvement within their workplace. PLANET recognizes environmental vision and leadership in business and would like to shine a light on some of today’s green business practices as a beacon for others to follow.

Because entry for this award requires some additional supporting documentation, the entry must be printed and mailed in.  Download the entry form to submit your company for PLANET's Sustainable Company Award.

 

This award honors those major corporations, developers, or municipalities that PLANET believes are consistently committed to contracted services for quality landscape development and have helped to consistently create landscape awareness. This award has been presented to recipients that, through their landscape, have made a real contribution to the quality of the environment and have made a major impact either regionally or nationally.

PLANET members are invited to nominate their clients (who are a major corporation, developer, or municipality) to receive this prestigious award.

This recognition program recognizes PLANET members that have demonstrated leadership through their dedication and contribution to the good of the community. Community service projects eligible for recognition are those in which five or more of your company employees participated (or five faculty/students for student chapter members). The service provided may or may not be green industry related. PLANET will feature the community service projects submitted that meet the eligibility requirements each quarter in PLANET Advantage.

This awards program will honor both an individual State or Regional Association Executive and a State or Regional Association for their contributions to the green industry within their state/region and nationally as a member of PLANET. Nominations for these awards can be submitted by any PLANET member and the nominee must be a state or regional association member of PLANET.

The State Association Executive Partner of the Year Award honors PLANET member state/regional association executives for their significant contributions to the green industry within their own state or region and nationally as a member of PLANET. In addition, the recipient typically has made an exemplary effort to promote professionalism within the green industry. Deadline for nominations is August 10, 2009.

The Lifetime Leadership Award is presented annually to a PLANET member who has demonstrated both leadership and service, as well as made a commitment and contributions to both the green industry and PLANET. Eligible nominees must be active members of PLANET.
